Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 1.95% or 6.9 points to trade at 359.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 1.73% or 2.2 points to end at 129.6 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.83% or 1.50 points to 181.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 1.42% or 1.30 points to trade at 90.25 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.75% or 1.8 points to end at 238.4 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 0.59% or 0.60 points to 100.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 220 to 213 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.11 to $43.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.47% or 5.20 to trade at $1117.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.4415, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 8.5243.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.83.
