Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.78% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.65% or 400 points to trade at 9000 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 4.21% or 350 points to end at 8655 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 3.01% or 1.90 points to 65.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which lost 2.08% or 0.71 points to trade at 33.50 in late trade. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) declined 0.65% or 3.2 points to end at 490.1 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) shed 0.43% or 1.8 points to 418.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 50 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.76% or 0.38 to $50.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.57 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1246.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.02% to 6.5520, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4363.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 93.91.
