Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Metal Products & Machinery and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 15.75% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.470 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 12.50% or 0.150 points to end at 1.350 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 8.38% or 1.37 points to 17.71 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which lost 5.83% or 0.430 points to trade at 6.950 in late trade. Yazicilar Holding (IS:YAZIC) declined 5.41% or 0.73 points to end at 12.77 and T.S.K.B. (IS:TSKB) shed 5.11% or 0.070 points to 1.300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 228 to 102 and 74 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.56% or 7.35 to $1310.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.96% or 0.86 to hit $43.05 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.48% or 0.69 to trade at $45.90 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.47% to 2.9825, while EUR/TRY fell 0.31% to 3.3281.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.76% at 96.00.
