Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Construction and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 4.10% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.127 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 2.16% or 0.0190 points to end at 0.8980 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 1.61% or 0.030 points to 1.890 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which lost 6.72% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.250 in late trade. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 6.05% or 0.047 points to end at 0.731 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 5.00% or 0.0070 points to 0.1330.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 59 to 39 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.16% or 1.95 to $1257.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.45% or 0.73 to hit $49.62 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.29% or 0.67 to trade at $51.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.0997, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.9035.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 97.92.
