Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction, Chemicals and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which rose 19.30% or 0.022 points to trade at 0.136 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) added 5.21% or 0.007 points to end at 0.151 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was up 4.00% or 0.005 points to 0.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elgeka (AT:ELGr), which fell 9.86% or 0.021 points to trade at 0.192 at the close. Attica Bank (AT:BOAr) declined 4.65% or 0.002 points to end at 0.041 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 4.58% or 0.18 points to 3.93.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 44 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.88% or 9.80 to $1099.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.59% or 1.65 to hit $44.27 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.24% or 1.58 to trade at $47.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.26% to 1.1309, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.7337.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 95.40.
