Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Wood, Paper & Printing and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Is Gmyo (IS:ISGYO), which rose 4.22% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji (IS:ZOREN) added 3.61% or 0.060 points to end at 1.720 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was up 3.54% or 0.45 points to 13.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 12.47% or 1.73 points to trade at 12.14 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) declined 9.84% or 0.120 points to end at 1.100 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 9.84% or 0.120 points to 1.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 274 to 126 and 12 ended unchanged.

Gold for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.20 to $1068.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 2.81% or 1.03 to hit $37.84 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 3.30% or 1.21 to trade at $37.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 2.9074, while EUR/TRY fell 0.22% to 3.1812.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 98.18.
