Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which rose 1.68% or 0.623 points to trade at 37.572 at the close. Meanwhile, Acciona (MC:ANA) added 1.63% or 1.235 points to end at 76.915 and Int.Airl.Grp (MC:ICAG) was up 1.51% or 0.129 points to 8.694 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abengoa B (MC:ABGek), which fell 2.69% or 0.029 points to trade at 1.032 at the close. FCC (MC:FCC) declined 1.89% or 0.136 points to end at 7.058 and Gas Natural (MC:GAS) was down 1.77% or 0.350 points to 19.455.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 125 to 89 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Int.Airl.Grp (MC:ICAG) rose to all time highs; rising 1.51% or 0.129 to 8.694.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.30% or 3.30 to $1085.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.44% or 1.08 to hit $43.13 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.57% or 1.24 to trade at $46.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.0729, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.7058.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 99.15.
