Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Retail, Household and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.12% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.27% or 0.0190 points to trade at 0.2250 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) added 4.55% or 0.01 points to end at 0.23 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was up 3.56% or 0.011 points to 0.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 3.96% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.970 in late trade. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 3.90% or 0.008 points to end at 0.197 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) shed 3.67% or 0.71 points to 18.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 52 to 51 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.12% or 1.55 to $1288.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.31% or 0.64 to hit $48.24 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.57% or 0.79 to trade at $49.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.73% to 1.1210, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.7945.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 95.00.
