Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Chemicals and Invest Companies & Other Finance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 6.11% or 1.10 points to trade at 19.10 at the close. CDM (CS:CDM) added 5.99% or 26 points to end at 461 and SMI (CS:SMI) was up 5.97% or 160 points to 2839 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which lost 5.50% or 2.97 points to trade at 51.03 in late trade. Salafin (CS:SLF) declined 3.22% or 26 points to end at 771 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) shed 2.92% or 5.50 points to 182.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.03% or 0.50 to $47.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.19% or 0.58 to hit $48.14 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.65 to trade at $1249.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.06% to 10.9040, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.7290.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 95.31.
