Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.53% or 20.0 points to trade at 810.0 at the close. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 1.86% or 22 points to end at 1204 and Nice (TA:NICE) was up 1.79% or 430 points to 24500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 1.32% or 940 points to trade at 70060 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 0.36% or 6 points to end at 1644 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 0.29% or 10 points to 3437.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 204 to 123 and 121 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.91% or 0.83 to $44.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.12% or 1.36 to hit $44.99 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1262.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.7729, while EUR/ILS fell 0.15% to 4.3010.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.11.
