Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Communication, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 2.00% or 1670 points to trade at 85130 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 1.77% or 600 points to end at 34450 and Teva (TA:TEVA) was up 1.62% or 400 points to 25120 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which fell 2.41% or 6.4 points to trade at 258.8 at the close. Nice (TA:NICE) declined 2.13% or 510 points to end at 23470 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was down 1.90% or 270 points to 13930.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 174 to 173 and 104 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.32% or 0.95 to $40.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.41% or 0.62 to hit $43.22 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 2.31% or 24.50 to trade at $1085.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.88% to 3.8175, while EUR/ILS fell 1.43% to 4.1528.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 98.27.
