Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.09% or 360.0 points to trade at 33500.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 1.03% or 25.0 points to end at 2455.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 0.92% or 140.0 points to 15420.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 1.45% or 9.0 points to trade at 611.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 1.12% or 120.0 points to end at 10640.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 1.10% or 15.0 points to 1350.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.50% or 0.63 to $125.75 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.32% or 26.50 to hit $2037.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.07 to trade at $1261.53 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.26% to 2925.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.80% to 891.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 96.90.
