Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.52% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.520 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.66% or 0.0420 points to end at 2.5680 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was up 1.30% or 0.41 points to 32.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 2.67% or 0.72 points to trade at 26.28 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 2.57% or 0.13 points to end at 5.00 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was down 2.57% or 0.58 points to 22.01.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 71.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.75% or 0.65 to $36.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.25% or 0.45 to hit $35.61 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.47% or 15.70 to trade at $1080.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.0924, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.7337.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 98.40.
