Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.56% or 340.0 points to trade at 9900.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.49% or 30.0 points to end at 1235.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.07% or 280.0 points to 26360.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 1.30% or 140.0 points to trade at 10640.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.19% or 700.0 points to end at 58000.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) shed 1.04% or 400.0 points to 38000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.69% or 0.97 to $140.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 3.73% or 107.50 to hit $2992.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.62% or 8.55 to trade at $1364.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.27% to 3142.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.93% to 970.39.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 95.50.
