Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Transport and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.76% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270), which rose 9.95% or 1.95 points to trade at 21.55 at the close. Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) added 9.80% or 3.50 points to end at 39.20 and Anb Insurance (SE:8011) was up 9.79% or 3.28 points to 36.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eastern Province Cement Co. (SE:3080), which lost 4.15% or 1.40 points to trade at 32.30 in late trade. Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE:1210) declined 2.80% or 0.60 points to end at 20.85 and SABB Takaful (SE:8080) shed 2.45% or 0.60 points to 23.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 32 and 17 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.02% or 0.34 to $33.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.20% or 0.07 to hit $34.62 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.60 to trade at $1219.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.24% to 4.1271, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 97.43.
