Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Property, Services and Holding Firms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were First Gen (PS:FGEN), which rose 3.94% or 0.80 points to trade at 21.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Petron (PS:PCOR) added 2.79% or 0.250 points to end at 9.200 and Dmci Holdings (PS:DMC) was up 2.50% or 0.300 points to 12.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which fell 5.53% or 0.250 points to trade at 4.270 at the close. Globe Telecom (PS:GLO) declined 1.92% or 36.000 points to end at 1843.000 and Sm Investment (PS:SM) was down 1.78% or 15.000 points to 830.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 94 to 61 and 43 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1226.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.49% or 0.16 to hit $32.77 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.18% or 0.06 to trade at $34.22 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.01% to 7.3050, while USD/PHP rose 0.11% to 47.620.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 96.72.
