Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which rose 6.11% or 0.28 points to trade at 4.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BR:COFB) added 1.13% or 1.11 points to end at 99.09 and KBC (BR:KBC) was up 0.91% or 0.415 points to 46.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DIeteren SA (BR:IETB), which fell 4.75% or 1.365 points to trade at 27.375 at the close. bpost NV (BR:BPOST) declined 1.61% or 0.36 points to end at 22.02 and Elia (BR:ELI) was down 1.43% or 0.640 points to 44.235.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 88 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.51% or 6.30 to $1232.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 4.07% or 1.34 to hit $31.59 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 4.14% or 1.42 to trade at $32.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.23% to 1.1132, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.7763.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 96.64.
