Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 0.92% or 90.0 points to trade at 9920.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 0.79% or 30.0 points to end at 3830.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 0.53% or 0.1 points to 18.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 2.02% or 25.0 points to trade at 1215.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 1.02% or 120.0 points to end at 11640.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 0.55% or 100.0 points to 18000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.66% or 2.34 to $138.98 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 1.73% or 51.50 to hit $3023.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.75 to trade at $1352.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.70% to 2964.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.21% to 947.03.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.49% at 95.59.
