Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 2.14% or 5.3 points to trade at 252.8 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 1.97% or 4.4 points to end at 227.6 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 1.72% or 1.45 points to 85.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which lost 4.28% or 11.1 points to trade at 248.1 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.66% or 0.41 points to end at 24.22 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) shed 0.40% or 0.7 points to 172.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 333 to 247 and 67 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.26% or 0.55 to $44.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.07% or 0.95 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.45 to trade at $1322.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 9.5354, while USD/SEK fell 0.07% to 8.4802.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 95.31.
