Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which rose 2.14% or 25.0 points to trade at 1195.0 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) added 1.37% or 260.0 points to end at 19300.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was up 0.88% or 80.0 points to 9180.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemargos (CN:CCB), which lost 1.03% or 120.0 points to trade at 11580.0 in late trade. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) declined 0.92% or 100.0 points to end at 10800.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.85% or 500.0 points to 58500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 13 to 12 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 3.22% or 4.75 to $142.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.81% or 23.50 to hit $2881.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.85 to trade at $1323.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.32% to 2951.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.70% to 905.51.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 97.42.
