Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Property and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 2.11% or 0.600 points to trade at 29.000 at the close. Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) added 1.77% or 3.800 points to end at 219.000 and Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PS:TEL) was up 1.67% or 30.00 points to 1828.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which lost 3.92% or 0.230 points to trade at 5.630 in late trade. Ayala Corp (PS:AC) declined 1.45% or 11.000 points to end at 745.500 and Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) shed 1.41% or 0.240 points to 16.760.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 75 and 54 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.20% or 2.50 to $1235.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 3.57% or 1.33 to hit $38.59 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 3.17% or 1.25 to trade at $40.68 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.12% to 7.1257, while USD/PHP rose 0.07% to 46.141.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.48.
