Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Telecoms & IT and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which rose 9.20% or 1.20 points to trade at 14.25 at the close. Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012) added 6.47% or 2.20 points to end at 36.20 and AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) was up 6.08% or 0.90 points to 15.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anb Insurance (SE:8011), which lost 9.76% or 3.20 points to trade at 29.60 in late trade. Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140) declined 5.00% or 0.35 points to end at 6.65 and United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) shed 4.63% or 0.50 points to 10.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 59 and 15 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.25% or 0.10 to $39.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.61% or 0.25 to hit $40.78 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1221.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.00% to 4.1924, while USD/SAR rose 0.13% to 3.7551.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.06.
