Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems (CO:VWS), which rose 1.84% or 8.3 points to trade at 458.9 at the close. Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb) added 1.84% or 6.4 points to end at 354.5 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was up 1.15% or 9.0 points to 794.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 1.64% or 140 points to trade at 8390 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 1.57% or 3.0 points to end at 188.2 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) shed 1.56% or 130 points to 8190.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 76 and 14 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.58% or 1.53 to $31.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.92% or 1.36 to hit $33.33 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.26% or 15.30 to trade at $1225.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.09% to 6.7710, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4621.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 97.44.
