Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Mining and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Oulmes (CS:OULM), which rose 5.99% or 55 points to trade at 978 at the close. Meanwhile, Snep (CS:SNP) added 5.02% or 5.05 points to end at 105.45 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was up 2.94% or 5.00 points to 175.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND), which fell 5.99% or 20.55 points to trade at 322.45 at the close. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 5.28% or 48 points to end at 860 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was down 4.68% or 19.90 points to 405.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 19 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.42% or 1.04 to $42.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.15% or 0.53 to hit $44.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.21% or 12.90 to trade at $1057.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.02% to 10.6660, while USD/MAD rose 0.16% to 10.0690.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 100.11.
