Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Services and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Abengoa B (MC:ABGek), which rose 10.87% or 0.107 points to trade at 1.091 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) added 0.88% or 0.044 points to end at 5.039 and Sacyr (MC:SCYR) was up 0.85% or 0.021 points to 2.442 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indra A (MC:IDR), which fell 3.29% or 0.343 points to trade at 10.068 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) declined 2.36% or 0.902 points to end at 37.413 and Abertis Infr (MC:ABE) was down 2.36% or 0.340 points to 14.075.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 153 to 65 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.17% or 1.80 to $1089.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.35% or 0.60 to hit $43.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.80% or 0.39 to trade at $47.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.0763, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.7117.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 99.03.
