Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Metal Products & Machinery, Insurance and Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) added 3.20% or 0.20 points to end at 6.45 and Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) was up 1.70% or 0.40 points to 23.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which fell 12.30% or 0.230 points to trade at 1.640 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 11.68% or 2.30 points to end at 17.40 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was down 9.35% or 0.200 points to 1.940.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 316 to 78 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.30 to $1165.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.57% or 1.13 to hit $42.85 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.90% or 0.91 to trade at $46.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 2.9102, while EUR/TRY rose 0.58% to 3.2153.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 96.98.
