Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Non-Metal Minerals and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Cerro Verde (LM:CVE), which rose 3.03% or 0.500 points to trade at 17.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.74% or 0.200 points to end at 7.500 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 2.63% or 0.75 points to 29.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which fell 3.08% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.260 at the close. Intergroup (LM:IFS) declined 1.64% or 0.410 points to end at 24.600 and Milpo (LM:MIL) was down 1.62% or 0.030 points to 1.820.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Intergroup (LM:IFS) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.64% or 0.410 to 24.600.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 4.45% or 2.21 to $47.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 4.29% or 2.27 to hit $50.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.67% or 7.80 to trade at $1163.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2113, while EUR/PEN fell 0.10% to 3.6518.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 94.89.
