Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.48% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 3.73% or 15.2 points to trade at 422.4 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 2.62% or 6.5 points to end at 254.2 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 2.40% or 11.6 points to 495.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which lost 0.47% or 1.4 points to trade at 296.6 in late trade. Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) added 0.16% or 0.50 points to end at 308.10 and DSV (CO:DSV) gained 0.24% or 1.0 points to 411.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 29 and 11 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.80% or 0.36 to $44.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.72% or 0.34 to hit $47.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 6.73 to trade at $1249.77 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.31% to 6.6626, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.13.
