Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 6.05% or 8.30 points to trade at 145.50 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 4.81% or 6.60 points to end at 143.70 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.00% or 0.75 points to 25.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 1.69% or 0.80 points to trade at 46.49 in late trade. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 0.09% or 0.08 points to end at 87.12 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) gained 0.11% or 0.07 points to 61.17.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 401 to 171 and 54 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.55% or 1.04 to $41.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.13% or 0.92 to hit $44.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 4.45 to trade at $1369.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.45% to 9.4883, while USD/SEK fell 0.35% to 8.5192.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 95.66.
