Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.18% or 0.50 points to trade at 42.77 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.70% or 0.080 points to end at 11.490 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.29% or 0.11 points to 37.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.20% or 0.250 points to trade at 11.110 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.89% or 1.00 points to end at 51.85 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) shed 1.43% or 0.35 points to 24.17.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 32 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.71% or 0.37 to $52.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.77% or 0.38 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.10 to trade at $1253.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1131, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8562.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.49.
