Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which rose 5.58% or 0.48 points to trade at 9.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) added 2.96% or 1.43 points to end at 49.73 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) was up 2.23% or 0.68 points to 31.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC), which fell 5.24% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.37 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) declined 3.29% or 2.3 points to end at 67.7 and DnB ASA (OSLO:DNB) was down 2.93% or 3.9 points to 129.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 93 to 84 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.24% or 0.08 to 1.37. Shares in Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.29% or 2.3 to 67.7.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.04% or 0.92 to $46.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.04% or 0.52 to hit $50.03 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1091.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.15% to 9.0242, while USD/NOK fell 0.20% to 8.2375.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 97.53.
