SYDNEY, May 11 (Reuters) - Australian power grid Endeavour Energy has been sold to a consortium led by Macquarie Group MQG.AX , a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.
The majority stake in Endeavour sold by the New South Wales government was expected to fetch at least A$4 billion ($2.94 billion). The final price would be disclosed when the transaction was formally announced, said the source, who was not authorised to speak publicly about the matter.
