Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.95% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 0.26% or 0.07 points to trade at 27.35 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 0.05% or 0.02 points to end at 36.48 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 0.35% or 0.12 points to 34.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which lost 1.89% or 0.076 points to trade at 3.944 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.75% or 0.074 points to end at 4.148 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) shed 1.71% or 0.31 points to 17.86.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.32% or 1.12 to $47.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.77% or 1.28 to hit $45.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.65 to trade at $1327.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1233, while EUR/GBP rose 1.12% to 0.8518.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 95.43.
