Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 4.81% or 75.0 points to trade at 1635.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 2.73% or 110.0 points to end at 4140.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 2.82% or 80.0 points to 2920.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which fell 0.63% or 0.1 points to trade at 16.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 0.30% or 5.0 points to end at 1660.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was down 0.11% or 40.0 points to 36780.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 24 to 5 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.21% or 1.45 to $121.72 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.27% or 8.50 to hit $3211.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1096.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.58% to 2847.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.40% to 856.42.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.56% at 97.30.
