Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Services, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 8.79% or 1.6 points to trade at 19.8 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 2.21% or 820.0 points to end at 37940.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) was up 1.42% or 540.0 points to 38620.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.34% or 30.0 points to trade at 2210.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 1.29% or 180.0 points to end at 13820.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) shed 0.55% or 60.0 points to 10940.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.56% or 2.27 to $143.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.65% or 20.00 to hit $3087.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.50% or 6.80 to trade at $1365.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.52% to 2998.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.38% to 899.00.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 96.13.
