Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.98%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 7.62% or 1.3 points to trade at 17.8 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 1.19% or 3.9 points to end at 332.8 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.82% or 0.45 points to 55.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 7.14% or 2.01 points to trade at 26.16 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 5.31% or 12.50 points to end at 223.00 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 4.87% or 7.40 points to 153.10.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 78 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.28% or 0.15 to $53.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.36% or 0.20 to hit $55.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.25 to trade at $1231.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.48% to 8.8399, while USD/NOK fell 0.63% to 8.3445.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 101.13.
