Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Household, Retail and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 4.68% or 0.360 points to trade at 8.060 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 4.42% or 0.050 points to end at 1.180 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 3.80% or 0.480 points to 13.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 9.84% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.165 in late trade. Korres (AT:KRRr) declined 5.29% or 0.190 points to end at 3.400 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) shed 3.85% or 0.006 points to 0.150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 53 to 34 and 22 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1219.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.82% or 0.44 to hit $53.98 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.88% or 0.50 to trade at $57.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.0781, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.8626.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.66.
