Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Wood, Paper & Printing and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which rose 20.00% or 4.88 points to trade at 29.28 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) added 5.22% or 0.070 points to end at 1.410 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 4.07% or 0.110 points to 2.810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which lost 6.77% or 0.220 points to trade at 3.030 in late trade. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.46% or 0.98 points to end at 38.80 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) shed 2.33% or 0.010 points to 0.420.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 196 to 150 and 57 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.40% or 4.86 to $1229.06 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.27% or 0.13 to hit $47.70 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $50.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.20% to 3.5692, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 3.9012.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 99.10.
