Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Real Estate and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which rose 2.68% or 1680 points to trade at 64280 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 2.33% or 32 points to end at 1407 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 2.01% or 330 points to 16720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 1.87% or 1200 points to trade at 63000 in late trade. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 1.31% or 81 points to end at 6086 and Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) shed 1.23% or 470 points to 37870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 211 to 126 and 101 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.36% or 0.98 to $40.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.23% or 0.97 to hit $42.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.95 to trade at $1356.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.02% to 3.8111, while EUR/ILS fell 0.06% to 4.2569.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 95.66.
