Cryptocurrencies Surge after Elon Musk Comments

Investing.com - Sentiment for the highly volatile cryptocurrency markets surged on Thursday as Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) Inc. CEO Elon Musk, Ark Investment Management CEO Cathie Wood and Square Inc (NYSE:SQ). CEO Jack Dorsey featured on a virtual panel discussion hosted by the Crypto Council for Innovation.

Elon Musk signaled that electric-car maker Tesla is likely to start accepting bitcoin payments once again, noting that “It looks like Bitcoin is shifting more toward renewables. I would want to do a little bit more diligence to confirm the percentage of renewable energy usage is at or above 50 per cent.”

Bitcoin added 7.09% to $31949.8, while Ethereum surged 9.79% to $1969.58.

Clearly looking out for his own self interests, wouldn't look good I guess if Tesla took a bath with their Crypto "investment"

This is totally believable that he will research an unregulated bitcoin operation to ensure they are at 50% renewable. That should take about 10years
