Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite unchanged 0.00% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 6.43% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.430 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) added 4.26% or 0.011 points to end at 0.270 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was up 3.94% or 0.050 points to 1.320 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which lost 4.05% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.166 in late trade. J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) declined 3.99% or 0.029 points to end at 0.698 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) shed 2.59% or 0.120 points to 4.510.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 44 and 12 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.12% or 13.66 to $1209.64 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.92% or 1.33 to hit $44.19 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.89% or 1.39 to trade at $46.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.1391, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 95.87.
