Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which rose 2.48% or 440.0 points to trade at 18160.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 1.96% or 520.0 points to end at 27060.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 1.54% or 440.0 points to 28960.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.42% or 330.0 points to trade at 9310.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) declined 0.41% or 5.0 points to end at 1215.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 0.41% or 5.0 points to 1210.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 3.46% or 6.02 to $168.10 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.08% or 2.00 to hit $2486.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.85 to trade at $1277.55 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.14% to 2977.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.00% to 940.73.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 97.87.
