Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Utilities and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 13.08% or 0.017 points to trade at 0.147 at the close. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 10.00% or 0.069 points to end at 0.759 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 5.49% or 0.005 points to 0.096 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frigoglass (AT:FRIr), which lost 19.22% or 0.07 points to trade at 0.29 in late trade. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 9.89% or 0.054 points to end at 0.492 and Reds (AT:CAMr) shed 9.09% or 0.030 points to 0.300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 50 to 45 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 1.27% or 15.90 to $1232.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.38% or 0.16 to hit $41.92 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.45% or 0.20 to trade at $44.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1262, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.7964.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 94.92.
