Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 5.06% or 165.0 points to trade at 3425.0 at the close. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) added 1.74% or 620.0 points to end at 36300.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was up 1.53% or 160.0 points to 10640.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.64% or 20.0 points to trade at 1200.0 in late trade. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) declined 1.22% or 15.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 1.32% or 8.0 points to 598.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.55% or 2.19 to $139.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 4.01% or 90.50 to hit $2167.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 1.08% or 12.65 to trade at $1159.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.13% to 3007.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.04% to 890.21.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 101.64.
