Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.80%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 4.92% or 60.0 points to trade at 1280.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 3.51% or 270.0 points to end at 7970.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was up 3.39% or 0.6 points to 18.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemargos (CN:CCB), which lost 1.20% or 140.0 points to trade at 11540.0 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 1.04% or 280.0 points to end at 26700.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 0.66% or 100.0 points to 15000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.58% or 0.69 to $120.47 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.58% or 16.50 to hit $2862.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.50 to trade at $1242.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.47% to 3093.50, while BRL/COP rose 2.00% to 859.71.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 94.23.
