Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.64% or 75.0 points to trade at 2915.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.02% or 35.0 points to end at 1770.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 0.66% or 180.0 points to 27540.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 1.92% or 25.0 points to trade at 1275.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.56% or 8.0 points to end at 504.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) shed 1.46% or 15.0 points to 1015.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 2.04% or 2.65 to $132.32 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 3.25% or 66.50 to hit $2110.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.80% or 10.37 to trade at $1284.53 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.24% to 3007.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.77% to 926.43.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 93.13.
