Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which rose 4.54% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.138 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.19% or 0.030 points to end at 0.970 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 2.43% or 0.85 points to 35.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which lost 4.01% or 0.180 points to trade at 4.310 in late trade. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 3.92% or 0.00 points to end at 0.05 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) shed 1.74% or 0.130 points to 7.350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 9 to 8 and 17 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.72% or 0.32 to $44.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $46.99 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 3.79 to trade at $1213.49 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2555, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7102.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.81.
