Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Biomed and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 2.59% or 550 points to trade at 21800 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) added 2.44% or 81 points to end at 3399 and Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) was up 2.29% or 105 points to 4694 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 11.53% or 361 points to trade at 2771 in late trade. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 0.56% or 9 points to end at 1611 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) shed 0.50% or 32 points to 6400.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 259 to 122 and 61 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.47% or 0.79 to $53.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.49% or 0.84 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 7.95 to trade at $1242.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.55% to 3.6818, while EUR/ILS rose 0.38% to 3.8764.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 102.00.
