Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.61% or 5.4 points to trade at 212.3 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 2.09% or 1.00 points to end at 48.77 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.82% or 3.50 points to 196.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which lost 1.48% or 0.87 points to trade at 57.98 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) declined 0.92% or 2.0 points to end at 214.9 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) shed 0.91% or 0.65 points to 70.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 302 to 302 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.57% or 1.64 to $44.29 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.55% or 1.70 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.02% or 13.75 to trade at $1330.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.51% to 9.6498, while USD/SEK rose 0.93% to 8.6111.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.49.
