Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 7.54% or 3.31 points to trade at 47.23 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 6.06% or 0.85 points to end at 14.87 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 5.88% or 2.52 points to 45.37 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 7.35% or 1.80 points to trade at 22.70 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 1.64% or 0.56 points to end at 33.49 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) shed 0.88% or 0.40 points to 44.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 59 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.91% or 0.50 to $55.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.39% or 0.73 to hit $53.07 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.35 to trade at $1234.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.0660, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8512.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 100.59.
